Me:nu offers a variety of unusual and interesting flavours presented beautifully, from Irish seafood farmed solely from Irish waters through to mouth watering local meats and fresh vegetables.
Me:nu is the result of a dynamic partnership between Gerard Donnelly and Sandy Plumb who are using a lifetime of culinary skills to bring their unique offering of entirely locally sourced seafood and meats from the Northern Ireland lush farmland, to Belfast.
Chef Gerard Donnelly is one of the rising culinary talents in Ireland at present; with over 16 years experience in the kitchens working alongside the Northern Ireland greats including Paul Rankin at Cayenne, Michael Deane in Deane’s Deli as well as working together with world-renown US master chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck. Gerard has cultivated a passion for fresh local produce that he has incorporated into his dishes ensuring that all fish is sourced from the local waters and all produce from the lush Northern Ireland farmland.
Sandy Plumb brings a wealth of experience to me:nu. Having been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years his culinary skills were learnt under the great masters including Michael Deane at Deane’s Belfast, Robbie Miller at Shanks and in the intervening years has developed a classic and modern approach to food and drink having worked in Café Society and Mal Maison. His love of good food coupled with his warm and engaging personality makes for an interesting and enjoyable evening.
